Finance over foliage: Construction in national Park area allowed

Climate change realities, Dawn of April 3rd 2011

This potentially devastating alteration of seasons is obviously not confined to Pakistan alone: it is a global phenomenon although the lengthening and shortening of specific seasons differs from continent to continent depending on latitude and longitude. But the overall effect on food production remains roughly the same. Ground based realities about direct effects of Climate change in Pakistan and allover the world.

Snow Leopard on the prowl in Gilgit - The Express Tribune - April 5th 11

The Express Tribune on  April 5th 11 reported about a Snow Leopard on a killing spree in Gilgit-Baltistan in Pakistan. The Snow Leopard is being accused of killing over a dozen live stock in the past few weeks. Locals have increased the security of their cattle while the Wildlife department's DFO told the paper that verification and report compiliation is in progress. The story was covered by "Shabbir Mir".
