Finance over foliage: Construction in national Park area allowed

ISLAMABAD:  Despite strong opposition from lawmakers, environmentalists and civil society, the capital city bosses are adamant to allow construction in the protected Zone-IV that falls in the national park area.

Climate change realities, Dawn of April 3rd 2011

Snow Leopard on the prowl in Gilgit - The Express Tribune - April 5th 11

The Express Tribune on  April 5th 11 reported about a Snow Leopard on a killing spree in Gilgit-Baltistan in Pakistan. The Snow Leopard is being accused of killing over a dozen live stock in the past few weeks. Locals have increased the security of their cattle while the Wildlife department's DFO told the paper that verification and report compiliation is in progress. The story was covered by "Shabbir Mir".
