Kalma chowk flyover construction, Clouds of dust posing a serious health hazard - Pakistan Today of April 8th 2011

Kalma chowk flyover construction is producing clouds of dust that poses a serious health hazard for the commuters in Lahore.....

Kalma chowk flyover's construction has been challenged by Lahore bachao and WWF-Pakistan in Lahore high court due to the environmental threats of the project.  There is a popular notion amongst Lahorites that road expansion, flyovers or under passes are not a solution and they are demanding a cheaper urban mass transit system such as under and above the ground rail system, preferably using solar and wind energy to function.

Games that rich play, Dawn of April 2nd 2011

Inhabitants of the 250-house village of "Mauza Sal Kether in the foothills of Murree "were jolted on March 28th 2011 by the blasting done by Bahria Town's management to terrorize them into giving up their rights on the land Bahria Town wants for its Golf City. The respective land is disputed and environmental watch dog WWF-Pakistan claims to have a stay against the development of Bahria town's Golf City project on environmental degradation grounds.
